Hello! My name is Kristina Brummund. I am a graduate of Minnesota State University, Mankato, and a Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker (LICSW). I have been working with children, teens, adults, couples, and families since 2004 across a variety of settings including addiction centers, community agencies, and school systems. I also hold a Master of Science in Community Health, and a Bachelor of Science in Alcohol and Drug Counseling.

I believe the best therapeutic relationship exists when I can create an environment in which you feel heard, validated, empowered, accepted unconditionally and without judgement. My goal is to make sure you trust me to guide and support you along this journey with transparent, open communication. I use Cognitive Behavioral Therapy as my primary modality of therapy; however, I also believe that when our mental health suffers not only does our mind struggle but so does our body and soul, thus a whole-person approach is necessary. I integrate mindfulness, meditation, and relaxation as a way to calm our nervous system and re-center ourselves. You have a story and you have experienced a unique life because of your story. I am privileged to be able to hold your story with you. Let’s work together to make the rest of your story poetic.
